Before Your Next Meeting, Check What the Webcam Actually Sees

An 85° fixed-focus camera can fit more of a room; a 73° autofocus camera can follow a moving subject and record at a stated 4K. Check what you actually show on calls before choosing either.

30-second verdict

Choose the UGREEN Full HD webcam when a wider 85° view, simple 1080p/30fps calls and fixed desk distance fit your use. Choose the EMEET NOVA 4K when you need autofocus for moving or showing objects, a tighter 73° view or local 4K recording. The NOVA defaults to 1080p, and meeting software may not transmit 4K. Both checked UK offers were new, in stock, dispatched by Amazon, and available for London SW1A 1AA with Add to basket and Buy Now. UGREEN GROUP LIMITED UK sold the first; EMEET Direct UK sold the second. Compare framing and focus in your actual room before treating a resolution label as the whole decision.

1080P Full HD · ASIN B0C76ZD7KV

£19.99 new offer checked 24 Sep 2026

The exact 1080P Full HD option records at a stated 1080p/30fps with a fixed-focus 85° view. Its broader frame can show more of a room, but fixed focus gives less flexibility if you bring a document close to the lens. The listing describes USB-A plug-and-play operation, two built-in microphones, automatic light correction and a privacy cover packed separately in the box. Matching UK review feedback mentions easy setup, a clear call image and usable built-in audio. The selected new UK offer was dispatched by Amazon and sold by UGREEN GROUP LIMITED UK, whose seller profile showed extensive recent positive feedback.

NOVA 4K Webcam

Nova 4k PDAF Focus 2 Mics · ASIN B0CY2C7H6S

£37.98 new deal checked 24 Sep 2026

The selected NOVA 4K style lists up to 4K/30fps capture, but the default video setting is 1080p and a meeting service can impose its own limit. PDAF autofocus is useful when the camera-to-subject distance changes. The 73° view is fixed and narrower than UGREEN's 85°; EMEETLINK adjusts image settings, not this field of view. The selected camera uses a fixed USB-A cable, includes a separate physical privacy cover and has a tripod thread. Matching UK review feedback mentions quick autofocus and uncomplicated setup. The new UK offer was sold by EMEET Direct UK and dispatched by Amazon; the seller profile showed 98% positive feedback on 46 twelve-month ratings.

What we researched

These are two different UK webcam models from different manufacturers, selected after screening live 1080p search results. UGREEN's exact listing showed 5K+ bought in the past month and 6,080 reviews; EMEET's showed 400+ and 2,329. Those are changing listing signals, not market share or evidence that one camera outperforms the other. The useful difference is what happens at a real desk: UGREEN's fixed-focus 85° frame admits more background or another person; NOVA's fixed 73° frame is tighter, but its autofocus can help when the subject moves. Both offer USB-A connection, dual microphones and a physical cover, though the covers are separate accessories in the checked packages. We did not measure video or audio quality ourselves.

Key findings

A wider shot is not always the better shot

UGREEN's 85° view has more room for a second participant or a board. EMEET's 73° view reduces what appears behind one person. Decide at your actual camera distance, including whether you want to show the room.

High

Focus matters when the scene changes

Fixed focus can be enough for a person sitting still. EMEET's autofocus is more useful if you move toward the camera or hold objects up. Owner feedback for the selected NOVA style mentions responsive focus, but we did not time it.

High

4K is a capture setting, not a meeting promise

NOVA lists 4K/30fps but starts in 1080p; the call application and its settings determine what others receive. Do not buy it solely for a 4K meeting claim without checking the service you use.

Check whether your computer has a USB-A port or a suitable adapter.
Place the camera at monitor height and decide whether an 85° or 73° fixed view shows the right amount of room.
If selecting NOVA for local 4K recording, check that your recording application and computer can request that mode.
Match ASIN B0C76ZD7KV or B0CY2C7H6S and the selected 1080P Full HD or Nova 4k PDAF style before checkout.
Recheck new condition, seller, Amazon dispatch, UK delivery and current price; fit the included physical cover.
