30-second verdict

Choose Catit's original green Flower Fountain if your cat is particular about moving water: the top offers three flow arrangements, its 3 L reservoir has a level window, and Catit identifies the compatible monthly filter. Choose the Veken 3.2 L stainless-steel set if you prefer metal water-contact surfaces, a larger viewing window and top-rack dishwasher-safe wet parts as described on its exact listing. Veken includes four filters and four sponges in the selected set; confirm the correct refill shape before those are used. Both checked offers were new and in stock with Add to cart and Buy Now for Balzac, Alberta T4B 2T3. Catit was sold and shipped by Amazon.ca; Veken was sold by Aborder Products and shipped by Amazon. Prime eligibility was not independently established for either exact offer.

What we researched

Two new, in-stock Canadian fountain offers from different manufacturers were checked. Veken's selected 3.2 L set showed 3K+ bought in the past month and 3,701 ratings on the search results; Catit's original green Flower Fountain showed 800+ and 36,417. These describe the listings at the time checked, not shares of the Canadian market. Rating totals can include other set or style options. The everyday choice is stainless wet surfaces and an included filter supply versus three ways of presenting water and an explicitly identified official replacement pad.

Key findings

Cats can be choosy about how water moves

Catit's flower top provides three arrangements without buying another fountain. Veken has a conventional single flow but a larger stainless reservoir and a clearer maintenance cue from its window.

High

A dishwasher does not clean the pump

Veken's listing allows the water-contact pieces on a dishwasher top rack. The electric pump still needs separate access and cleaning, and matching-set feedback mentions film that appears with use. Catit has more plastic top pieces to wash.

High

The first box is not the lifetime cost

Catit provides a named, compatible pad with an approximately monthly maker replacement interval. Veken includes four filters and four sponges up front, but the correct refills must be checked for the exact set before reordering.

Method
On 24 September 2026 we used Best Sellers-sorted Amazon.ca cat-fountain results to discover candidates, then verified the two exact ASINs and selected options on product pages. We checked new condition, stock, seller, shipper, delivery to Balzac T4B 2T3 and active purchase buttons. Prime eligibility was not independently established. Catit's original product and exact replacement-pad pages support its specifications and filter interval; Veken material and dishwasher details rely on its exact Amazon listing. One high-rated verified Canadian review matching each selected option informed a limited feedback note. Purchase labels and rating totals are listing signals, not Canada-wide market shares.
