A Late Meeting Shouldn't Mean a Late Pet Dinner

For two cats, decide whether the problem is missed mealtimes or one pet stealing the other's food.

30-second verdict

Choose the oneisall 5 L dual-bowl timer if two cats can eat dry kibble side by side and the main job is putting meals out on schedule. Its two open bowls dispense together; they cannot stop a faster cat from eating both portions. Choose the standard SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder if a cat needs its own food, eats wet food, or grazes while another pet steals it. Its lid opens for a registered microchip or supplied tag, but it does not dispense a fresh portion on a timer. For two protected diets, budget for a feeder per pet. Both exact Canadian offers were new, in stock and had working purchase buttons for Balzac T4B 2T3. Amazon shipped both; ONEISALL-Direct sold the timer and Sure Petcare Canada sold SureFeed.

5 L Automatic Cat Feeder for Two Cats

Black · Standard timer · SKU CW15005 · ASIN B0C5X2G933

C$69.99 new checked 24 Sep 2026

This plug-in, non-Wi-Fi model stores 5 L of kibble and uses a local dial to schedule up to six meals a day. It sends food to two opposed stainless-steel bowls about 11 inches apart. The maker lists battery backup, but batteries are not included. Matching Black Standard feedback notes that both bowls dispense together, so this is no barrier to a cat stealing its companion's food. The checked listing was sold by ONEISALL-Direct and shipped by Amazon.

SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder

Standard Version · ASIN B00O0UIPTY

C$267.80 new checked 24 Sep 2026

The standard SureFeed holds one prepared 400 ml bowl of wet or dry food. Its lid opens when the enrolled pet's microchip or supplied RFID tag approaches, then closes when that pet leaves. It has training mode for cats wary of lid motion and runs on four C batteries that are not included. It does not portion or schedule food and the Connect app features belong to another model. Matching Standard feedback describes protecting a senior cat's prescription diet from kittens. The checked offer was sold by Sure Petcare Canada and shipped by Amazon.

What we researched

Both new Canadian listings showed active demand signals, but they solve different multi-pet problems. The oneisall Black Standard listing showed 500+ bought in the past month and 4,264 reviews; the SureFeed Standard listing showed 200+ and 12,944 ratings. These are signals for the selected listings, not market share. Aggregate feedback may include other colour or style options. Oneisall schedules dry-food portions into two open bowls; SureFeed protects one prepared wet or dry bowl for the registered pet. Neither replaces a human check for a long absence.

Key findings

Two bowls do not enforce two diets

The oneisall bowls are spaced apart, but food from both is reachable. If one cat steals the other's meal, microchip access is the actual feature to seek.

High

Access control is not timed feeding

SureFeed protects food already placed in its bowl. It does not automatically serve a new meal while you are away, so it cannot replace the timer's dry-food schedule.

High

Test the routine before leaving

Weigh oneisall's real portions with your kibble and watch whether both cats eat fairly. For SureFeed, confirm the chip or tag registers and let an uneasy pet learn the lid movement gradually.

Pre-purchase checklist

Verify oneisall Black Standard ASIN B0C5X2G933 or SureFeed Standard ASIN B00O0UIPTY; Wi-Fi and Connect variants work differently.
If two cats need different diets, do not assume two open bowls stop food stealing.
For oneisall, confirm kibble fits the maker's size limit and test actual dispensed portions in both bowls.
For SureFeed, confirm microchip compatibility or use the supplied collar tag and practice the training mode.
Recheck fresh food holding time, especially for wet meals; a sealed lid is not refrigeration.
Recheck the Canadian seller, new condition, current delivery and price before buying.

Matching-option owner review

Amazon Canada · oneisall black standard feedbackFive-star verified Canadian review dated 11 April 2026, marked Black and Standard, says both bowls dispense at the same time and a single-cat household must adjust portions. This concrete limitation comes from matching-option feedback, separately from the aggregate rating.

This is a reviewed experience, not a measured prevalence.

Method
On 24 September 2026 we screened Best Sellers-sorted Amazon.ca automatic-feeder search results for multi-pet options and opened the two exact ASINs. We verified selected versions, new stock, active purchase buttons, Amazon shipping, named sellers and delivery to Balzac T4B 2T3. We checked oneisall's SKU CW15005 model page, Sure Petcare's standard product and support pages, plus one matching-option five-star verified Canadian review for each offer.
